SONORAN BANK NAMES NEW BOARD MEMBER

Frank X. Coumides Brings Extensive Experience in Banking, Finance and Strong Understanding of the Arizona Market

PHOENIX, Arizona (March 18, 2010)-Sonoran Bank (www.sonoranbank.com), a Phoenix, Arizona-based community bank serving Arizona's business community, today announced Frank X. Coumides to its Board of Directors, effective immediately. Frank currently serves as Sonoran Bank's senior vice president of lending, and brings over 15 years of experience in banking and finance. As an emerging leader in the Arizona business and banking community, Frank also brings a strong cultural understanding of the local market.

Frank brings more than 15 years of experience working in the financial services industry. His areas of expertise include structuring, negotiating and underwriting financing agreements. Prior to joining Sonoran Bank, Frank was a vice president at Wells Fargo, where he had a distinguished career in business banking and branch administration. He was instrumental in the design and implementation of Wells Fargo's strategy to penetrate Phoenix's growing Hispanic market.

Frank is an Arizona native and is fluent in Spanish. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Arizona State University and is a 2004 graduate from the PacificCoastBanking School. He is an active member of the Arizona Mexico Commission, Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Governor's Latino Advisory Council, a Board Member of Exito, Inc. and serves on the Small Business Finance CDC Loan Committee.
